Nidhi is the Co-Founder of S4S Technologies (Science For Society), a pioneering social enterprise at the intersection of agriculture, climate, clean energy, and gender equity. Born in the Himalayas and raised in Mumbai, Nidhi holds a Bachelor's in Chemical Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. She co-founded S4S to address post-harvest food losses among smallholder farmers building a patented, solar-powered food dehydration technology that enables women farmers to preserve produce for up to a year without chemicals. S4S today works with over 6,500 farmers and 505 micro-entrepreneurs across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, serving 850+ food and beverage clients including Marico, Nestle, Sodexo, and Indian Railways. Nidhi's work has been recognised globally: she was named the UN Environment Programme's Young Champion of the Earth (2020), awarded the prestigious Earthshot Prize by the Prince of Wales (2023), won the Unilever Young Entrepreneur Award (2019), and was titled Emerging Innovator of the Year at the inaugural Economic Times Women Leadership Awards. She has spoken at the World Bank and COP28, and is a Vital Voices and Acumen Academy fellow.
