
Madhumita is the Co-Founder and CEO of ShrotaHouse, a Bengaluru-based startup transforming Indian classical music education through technology and community. She specialises in education innovation, entrepreneurship, and the intersection of art, culture, and modern life. A trained Hindustani classical vocalist of over 25 years in the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana, Madhumita has built ShrotaHouse into a nationally recognised platform for early music learning. ShrotaHouse has been recognised by NSRCEL at IIM Bangalore, Microsoft for Startups, the IRMA-iSeed Foundation (Social Trailblazer Programme winner, 2025, selected from 300+ ventures), Startup Karnataka (Elevate 2023 Finalist), and DPIIT Startup India. Madhumita co-authored academic research on melody extraction for Indian music (Frontiers of Research on Speech and Music, 2009) and facilitated Jagriti Yatra, a pan-India social enterprise journey for 800+ participants. As a speaker, she has delivered talks on the role of Indian classical art in navigating the complexities of modern life and social media, including a featured talk at the Confluence initiative. She volunteers as a performing musician for Asha for Education and Sarvodaya USA. Her YouTube channel features original compositions and vocal performances, with one rendition crossing 100,000 organic views.
